A NEW event at Greenmead!  Come join us for a birthday party celebrating all birthdays.  Guests will enjoy a pasta lunch, party games, party favors, cupcakes, and gifts.  Guests are asked to each bring one wrapped $1 gift which will be shared and opened after singing Happy Birthday!

Join us as we reminisce about weddings, showcasing vintage gowns and photos!
Begin at the decorated Historic Newburg Church for a presentation, followed by the “reception” at the Alexander Blue House for hors d’oeuvres, sparkling beverages, wedding cake and coffee.

Looking for a new volunteering opportunity? Greenmead needs you!  


What do volunteers do at Greenmead?  
We need volunteers to work special events (admissions, store sales, food booth, building docents, tea servers, etc.), assist in the office, complete small projects in our various village buildings (such as decorating for the holidays), garden and water plants in our many gardens, and promote us out in the community.  All talents are welcome at Greenmead.

Come shop our large selection of previously enjoyed jewelry. Donations can be made at Greenmead and the Senior Center.

Come and shop Greenmead’s Trunk sale. A large variety of items will be available from numerous vendors.

Enter at the Special Events Parking Lot.

Livonia Cemetery Walk

Sunday, September 17   2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This year the cemetery walk will take place at the Clarenceville Cemetery. Come meet some of the Livonia Area’s “liveliest” characters, featured at the Clarenceville Cemetery.

Advance tickets will be available in August at Greenmead.

Sessions run every half hour, limited space in each session.  This is a rain or shine event.

Shadows from the Past Halloween Walk

Friday, October 27   5:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

Family Friendly Nighttime Halloween Walk.  Greenmead’s historic buildings serve as the backdrop for this creepy Halloween Walk. Goodies and trinkets for all.      

Advance tickets only available in September at Greenmead.  Sessions run every 15 minutes and will be approximately one hour long.  20 tickets available in each session.

This is a rain or shine event, no refunds on tickets.

Enjoy refreshments at the Friends Meeting House after your walk through the village.

*Costumes and flashlights are encouraged for all* 

Highland Tea

Saturday, November 4    3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Advance Tickets Only  $25.00

Tickets will be available at Greenmead in September on a first come, first serve basis.

The sound of bagpipes will welcome you to the Highland Tea. Our menu will include many fine Scottish delicacies and irresistible desserts, served by MEN IN KILTS.  

Tables at the Blue House are being set with a Scottish accent.  Fine china, silver and linens will be used.

Spend a relaxing fall afternoon with friends at the Highland Tea. 

Treasures from Grandma's Attic

Saturday, November 18  10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

A cornucopia of “treasures” will be at the Alexander Blue House including collectibles and some vintage items.  You never know what you may find in ‘Grandma’s Attic.’ 

No admission or parking fee!

Enjoy a morning and afternoon touring homes in Livonia decorated for Christmas.

Advance tickets available in November at Greenmead, all libraries, and 5th floor of City Hall.

Maps available on the day of the walk ONLY at the Hill House at Greenmead or the Civic Center Library.  Stop by the gift shop with your voucher for a free gift while supplies last.
